WAH CANTT – The POF Welfare Trust has announced a career opportunity for experienced medical professionals to fill the position of Medical Superintendent (MS) at Izzat Ali Shah Hospital, located in LalaRukh, Wah Cantt.
The hospital is seeking a qualified individual for the role on a contract basis, emphasizing the need for strong leadership, strategic planning, and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the position must possess an MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by the PMDC/PMC. While a postgraduate qualification in hospital management or public health management (such as MPH, MHA, MHP, or an MBA in Health Management) is preferred, it is not mandatory.
The required professional experience includes:
· 5–10 years of working experience as a DMS, AMS, or MS
· 3 years of teaching experience (optional)
· Experience in quality assurance (e.g., ISO, JCI), budgeting, and HR management
Applicants must also be registered with the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
Desired Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
· Leadership and strategic planning abilities
· Knowledge of hospital laws and healthcare regulations, including Punjab Healthcare Commission rules
· Familiarity with Health Information Systems (HIS)
· Budget and human resource management skills
· Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Preference will be given to individuals who are residents of Wah or its surrounding areas, ensuring round-the-clock availability if needed.
