Balochistan Government Announces Multiple Contract-Based Vacancies for Trauma Centers in Zhob and Khuzdar

The Balochistan Government, through its Medical Emergency Response Centers (MERC) initiative, has announced a major recruitment drive to operationalize accident and emergency centers in Zhob and Khuzdar. The Health Department is seeking qualified professionals to fill 43 positions across various roles, from medical specialists to support staff, on a contract basis.

According to the official advertisement (AB No. 1287/13-05-2026), positions are available at the Trauma Center in Zhob and the Trauma Center in Khuzdar. The vacancies range from specialized medical posts to essential operational roles.

Key Positions Available

The project is inviting applications for several high-level medical posts. For the Anesthetist (BPS-18) , one position is open at the Zhob Trauma Center. Candidates require an MBBS recognized by the PMDC with FCPS/MD/MRCA or equivalent, or MBBS with MCPS/DA and five years of post-diploma experience in Anesthesia/ICU.

The role of General Surgeon (BPS-18) has four vacancies—two in Khuzdar and two in Zhob. Applicants must hold an MBBS with FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCS or equivalent, along with three years of practical experience in a recognized institution after post-graduation.

For nursing staff, Staff Nurse (BPS-16) positions are available—two in Khuzdar and three in Zhob. A BSc Nursing (four years) from a PNC-recognized institute is preferred, along with relevant experience.

Technical and Support Staff

The advertisement also lists multiple technical and support roles. These include Anesthesia Technicians (BPS-9) , Medical Technicians (BPS-9) , Dispensers (BPS-6) , Compounders (BPS-6) , Operation Theater Assistants (BPS-6) , Ambulance Drivers (BPS-4) , Ward Boys (BPS-2) , Security Guards (BPS-1) , Helpers (BPS-1) , and Sweepers (BPS-1) .

Candidates for driver and guard positions have an age limit of 43 years. For most technical roles, relevant certificates and at least two years of experience are required, while support staff roles require at least a Middle or Matric school certificate, with experience preferred.

Terms and Conditions

The MERC Project has outlined several key conditions for applicants:

· Preference will be given to candidates holding local domicile of the concerned district (Zhob or Khuzdar).
· Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview.
· MERC Balochistan reserves the right to withdraw, postpone, or modify the number of vacant positions.
