National Skills University Islamabad Announces Career Opportunities Under HEC NRPU Project

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for hiring project personnel under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) approved National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) project for the year 2025-2026.

The project is titled “Bridging TVET to IT Employment: An ANN Guided Skills Mapping, Shortage Forecasting, and Placement Pilot for Pakistan” (Project No. 165444-43), led by Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Saud Altaf.

Available Positions and Details

The recruitment drive offers opportunities across three distinct roles catering to research professionals, undergraduate students, and support staff:

Research Assistant	01	MS in Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field from an HEC-recognized university. Requires strong skills in Python, machine learning, ANN, NLP, data analysis, survey design, and report writing. Experience in TVET or skills mapping is an advantage.	Rs. 80,000 to 100,000 per month (Lump-sum) Maximum 18 months
Undergraduate Student	02	Currently enrolled undergraduate students at NSU Islamabad in Computer Science, Info Tech, Cyber Security, or a related field. Requires skills in MS Excel, Google Forms, data collection, Python, web/mobile app development, and knowledge of ANN models.	Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 per month (Lump-sum) Maximum 18 months
Short Term Project Personnel	01	Minimum 12 years of education. Required support areas include field coordination, data collection, data entry, dashboard/portal support, documentation, and technical reporting. Practical exposure to IT skills is preferred.
