National Tariff Commission Announces High-Level Contract Openings

The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has officially released a “Notice for Hiring on Contract,” seeking seasoned professionals to bolster its capabilities in trade defense and economic research. As the body responsible for implementing anti-dumping duties, countervailing duties, and safeguard measures in line with WTO agreements, the NTC is looking for experts to assist in digitalization and domestic industry competitiveness.

Compensation and Contract Terms

  • Tenure: Positions are initially for a period of one to three years, with the possibility of yearly extensions based on performance and need.
  • Salary: Candidates will be offered a lump sum salary. This base salary is subject to an annual increase ranging from 5% to 15%, depending on satisfactory performance evaluations.
  • Location: While the notice mentions Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad for legal roles, the Selection Committee interviews will be held in Islamabad.
