Sindh Prisons Department Announces Recruitment for Prison Constables (BPS-07)
The Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Sindh, has officially announced a significant recruitment drive for the positions of Prison Constable and Lady Prison Constable (BPS-07). This opportunity is open to candidates holding a domicile from the province of Sindh.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for these roles, candidates must meet specific educational and physical standards:
- Age Limit: 18 to 28 years (as of the advertisement date).
- Education: Minimum Matriculation (SSC) from a recognized Board of Education.
- Physical Requirements (Male):
- Height: Minimum 5′ – 5″
- Chest: 33″ with 1.5″ expansion.
- Running: 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes.
- Vision: 6/6 in both eyes (without glasses).
- Physical Requirements (Female):
- Height: Minimum 5′ – 0″
- Running: 800 meters in 14 minutes.
Application Process
The application procedure is primarily digital, handled via the PTS portal:
- Online Registration: Candidates must visit the PTS website at www.pts.org.pk to download the application form and the bank deposit slip.
- Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs. 600 is required. This can be paid at any online branch of UBL or HBL.
- Submission: After paying the fee, candidates must send the filled application form along with the original paid deposit slip directly to the PTS Headquarters (Adeel Plaza, 3rd Floor, Fazal-e-Haq Road, Blue Area, Islamabad).
- Important Note: Do not send documents via courier at this stage. Only the deposit slip and the form are required. You may also be required to send a copy of the deposit slip via WhatsApp to the number provided in the official notice (0330-6661787).
Deadline for Application: The last date to submit online applications is May 11, 2026.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Verification: Original documents will be scrutinized at the time of the interview. Any false information will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Government Employees: Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel.
- Testing: Only those who pass the physical test will be called for the written examination conducted by PTS.
- No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for appearing in the test or interview.
- Quota: The recruitment will follow the Government of Sindh’s urban/rural quota policy.
