Pakistan Air Force Announces Commissions in Medical Branch (137 Combat Support Course

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
1. Medical Branch (Specialist) (SPSSC)
- Rank Upon Commission: Squadron Leader
- Age Limit (as of October 15, 2026): 25–35 Years
- Training Period: 24 weeks at PAFAA
- Required Specializations: Qualification must be from a Pakistani or foreign medical college/university recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) in the following disciplines:
- Eye Specialist: FCPS / FRCS (OPTH) / Diplomate of American Board
- Anesthetist: FCPS / FRCA / Diplomate of American Board
- Radiologist: FCPS / MRCR / FRCR / Diplomate of American Board
- ENT Specialist: FCPS / MRCS (ENT) / FRCS (ENT) / Diplomate of American Board
- Psychiatrist: FCPS / FRCP / MRCP / Diplomate of American Board
- Neuro Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / MRCS / Diplomate of American Board
- Orthopedic Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / Diplomate of American Board
2. Medical Branch (GDMOs) (SPSSC)
- Rank Upon Commission: Flight Lieutenant
- Age Limit (as of October 15, 2026): 25–35 Years
- Training Period: 24 weeks at PAFAA
- Educational Qualification: MBBS with minimum 1st Division or equivalent from a PMDC-recognized institution, having completed at least one year of house job. Preference will be given to those with relevant field experience post-house job.
- Note: Candidates who cleared FCPS-I after December 25 are also eligible to apply.
Selection Procedure
The selection process involves multiple rigorous stages to ensure only the most qualified and fit individuals are selected:
- Online Registration via the official PAF portal.
- Intelligence Test followed by an Academic Test in relevant subjects at respective I&SC.
- Initial Medical Examination, Physical Test, and Interview at PAF I&SC.
- Psychological Test of shortlisted candidates.
- Interview by the AHQ Selection Board in Rawalpindi, Lahore, or Karachi.
- Final Medical Examination at CMB, Lahore.
- Interview by Final AHQ Selection Board in Islamabad.
- Final Selection by AHQ strictly in order of merit.
Ineligibility Conditions
Candidates meeting any of the following conditions are barred from applying:
- Those rejected twice by ISSB/GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection Boards.
- Candidates twice screened out by the Army, Navy, or Air Force during preliminary selection.
- Individuals dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government Services, including the Armed Forces.
- Anyone convicted by a Court of Law for any heinous offense.
- Candidates declared permanently medically unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB), or those declared unfit due to Hepatitis B & C.
- Those who withdrew, were discharged, or resigned from any bonded Armed Forces college or training institution on disciplinary grounds.
