Wapda Housing Society Lahore Announces Multiple Job Vacancies on Contract Basis

The Wapda Employees Cooperative Housing Society (WECHS) Lahore has released a recruitment notice inviting applications from suitable candidates for nine different positions, ranging from managerial roles to technical staff. The appointments will be made on a one-year contract, extendable based on performance.

The vacancies span accounts, security, administration, religious services, engineering, and maintenance. Below is a position-wise breakdown of eligibility, experience, and age requirements:

· Manager Accounts (1 post) – Lumpsum pay package. Requires M.Com/MBA (or equivalent) with 10 years of relevant corporate experience, preferably in a housing society or land management unit. Alternatively, retired WAPDA Accounts & Finance officers of BPS-18 or above with at least 5 years of service as Senior Accounts Officer may apply.
· Security Officer (1 post) – Lumpsum pay package. Open to retired Army officers (Major/Captain) with minimum 10 years of exemplary service, age 50-55 years; or retired DSPs with 10 years’ service, age up to 65 years. 2-3 years of experience managing security for large institutions or housing societies is mandatory.
· Sr. Superintendent (1 post) – Lumpsum pay package. Requires a BA degree with computer skills and 7 years of administrative/service matters experience (max age 40 years), or retired WAPDA/Government officers with administrative experience (age up to 65 years).
· Imam cum Khateeb (3 posts) – BPS-12. Must be Hafiz-e-Quran with Qirat proficiency, Shahadat ul Almia, and MA (Islamiat) from an HEC-recognized university. Married candidates aged 30-35 years with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
· Sub Engineer (Civil) (2 posts) – BPS-11. Matric with a first-division 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering, plus 3-5 years of experience. Maximum age 30 years.
· Sub Engineer (Electrical) (1 post) – BPS-11. Matric with a first-division 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of experience, including handling street lights, LT/HT systems, and disposal pumps. Max age 30 years.
· Surveyor (2 posts) – BPS-7. Matric plus a 3-year diploma and 1 year of surveying training from a recognized institute, along with 3 years of experience in construction, operation, and maintenance of colonies/housing schemes. Max age 30 years.
· Building Supervisor (1 post) – BPS-5. Requires a 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering and 3 years of experience in implementing building plans and construction supervision. Max age 30 years.
· Sr. Electrician (1 post) – BPS-9. Matric with 5 years of electrician experience in a reputable organization. Max age 30 years.
