The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), operating under the Government of Pakistan, has officially announced new job vacancies at its headquarters in G-5/2 Islamabad. 1. Deputy Director (Database Security)

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, or an equivalent field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
    • Note: Degrees must be attested by the HEC.
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant subject will be given preference.
  • Professional Experience:
    • A minimum of 6 years of technical, hands-on experience in the administration, management, and security of databases (such as Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
    • Strong knowledge and experience regarding Database Security requirements and Database Analytics using database activity monitoring (DAM) tools.
    • Preference will be given to candidates holding certifications in Oracle Database Admin, IBM Guardium Admin, Imperva Admin, Oracle Database Security Administration, SQL, or an equivalent credential.
  • Key Responsibilities Include:
    • Developing and assessing database security requirements for applications.
    • Installing, configuring, and managing Guardium appliances for activity monitoring.
    • Handling database auditing, monitoring, life cycle management, and license renewals.
    • Generating vulnerability assessment reports and implementing cybersecurity controls for both on-premises and cloud-based databases.

2. Assistant Director (Database Security)

This position is tailored for mid-level professionals looking to advance their careers in data security and analytics within a prestigious state institution.

  • Maximum Age Limit: 37 Years
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with relevant Information Security certifications (or an equivalent degree in a related field).
  • Professional Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable organization focusing on Database Administration, Database Security, or Database Analytics using DAM or SIEM tools.
    • Certifications or badges in any DAM product or equivalent will be preferred.
  • Key Responsibilities Include:
    • Installation, configuration, and setup of Guardium appliances for database activity monitoring and data protection.
    • Installing Guardium agents on database servers along with the necessary configuration required for logs collection.
