MTI Mardan Invites Applications for Dean Position at Bacha Khan Dental College
The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan has announced a vacancy for the position of Dean at Bacha Khan Dental College, inviting qualified medical academics to apply on a contract basis.
The Dean will serve as the head of the dental college, assuming overall responsibility for undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching and research. The position reports directly to the institution’s Board of Governors.
Eligibility and Experience
Candidates must hold a BDS degree or an equivalent medical qualification, supplemented by a higher diploma such as an FCPS, US Board certification, or an equivalent credential in dental sciences or a related sub-specialty. Alternatively, applicants with a PhD degree in a relevant field are also eligible.
The ideal candidate should possess a national—and preferably international—reputation in their field, whether in basic or clinical sciences. A minimum of seven years of administrative experience as a head of department, unit, program, or institution is required, along with demonstrated leadership qualities, a proven track record in teaching, and a strong commitment to medical education and research.

Interested applicants must submit a complete job application along with a CV, attested photocopies of all educational degrees, experience certificates, CNIC, valid PMDC registration (endorsing all required qualifications), a recent photograph, and details of three professional referees. All documents should be sent to the Human Resource Department at Mardan Medical Complex, MTI Mardan, within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
Selected candidates will be required to present an accepted resignation from their previous employer. The appointment will be governed under the MTI Act 2015 (as amended) and its subsequent regulations.
The MTI Mardan has cautioned that any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will result in automatic disqualification. The committee’s decision is final, subject to approval by the Board of Governors. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained after a final decision.
