The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), known as “The Nation’s Bank”, is actively expanding its Treasury & Capital Markets division. The bank is currently seeking a highly qualified professional for a senior leadership role based in Karachi.

Job Position & Operational Profile

  • Position Title: Wing Head Liquidity (VP / SVP)
  • Reporting To: Divisional Head – Asset & Liabilities Management
  • Place of Posting: Karachi
  • Employment Type: 3-year contract basis (renewable at management’s discretion)

Core Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college recognized by the HEC. Candidates with a Master’s degree, CA, ACMA, ACCA, or CFA certifications are highly preferred.
  • Required Experience: A minimum of 10 years of work experience in the Treasury wing of a Bank, DFI, or NBFI, with at least 3 years served at a Managerial level, preferably in Money Market, Asset & Liability Management, or Fixed Income.

Outline of Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the bank’s liquidity portfolio within allocated limits and optimize CRR and SLR requirements.
  • Achieve overall NII (Net Interest Income) and profitability targets for the desk.
  • Administer and manage the operational activities of international branch treasuries.
  • Coordinate with the Retail Banking Group to provide approval for special rates on deposits across the country.
  • Conduct specialized training for branches regarding liquidity management and market dynamics.
