Career Opportunities: Government of the Punjab Finance Department
The Finance Department of the Government of the Punjab has announced new career opportunities for highly qualified professionals within its Risk Management Unit. These positions are offered on a contract basis for a period of three years.
Available Positions and Requirements
The department is looking to fill two key leadership and analytical roles:
1. Head, Risk Management Unit (MPS-I)
- Education: Ph.D. in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting & Finance, Risk Management, or Project Management with 10 years of professional experience. Alternatively, a 16-year education in these fields (or professional qualifications like ACA, ACMA, CFA, or ASA) with 12 years of relevant experience.
- Age Limit: 35 – 50 years.
- Added Advantages: Certification as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Professional Risk Manager (PRM), or Project Management Professional (PMP). Experience in Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects is preferred.
2. Senior Risk Analyst (MPS-II)
- Education: Ph.D. in relevant fields with 08 years of professional experience, or a 16-year education (including ACA, ACMA, CFA, or ASA) with 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Age Limit: 32 – 45 years.
- Added Advantages: Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, PMP) and experience in PPP projects are highly valued.
Key Terms and Compensation
- Contract Duration: The positions are offered for three (03) years on a non-transferable, post-specific basis.
- Remuneration: Salaries will be based on the “Management Pay Scales (MPS) of Punjab, 2023.”
- Experience Policy: Only post-qualification experience is considered; internships or training periods do not count toward the required years of experience.
