Planning Commission Announces High-Level Sector Specialist Positions Under Capacity Building Project
The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives has officially announced multiple high-level contract positions under its project titled “Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening of M/o PD&SI.” Functioning as the apex body and premier think tank of the Government of Pakistan, the Planning Commission is looking to recruit experienced sector experts and specialists. These professionals will provide technical and professional guidance for formulating and implementing national socio-economic plans and policies.
Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria
The ministry is seeking suitable and motivated Pakistani candidates for six distinct Sector Specialist positions (1 post available for each category). All positions offer a PPS-10 remuneration package.
The detailed requirements for each role are outlined below:

| Procurement Specialist | 16 Years Master’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field from a recognized institution. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
| Legal Specialist | 16 Years Masters or Equivalent Degree or higher qualification in Law (i.e., LLB / LLM or equivalent) from an HEC recognized university. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
| Population Specialist | 16 Years Masters or Equivalent Degree or higher qualification in Demography, Population Studies, Public Health, Health Policy Development Economics, Social Policy, or a closely related field from an HEC recognized university. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
| Health Specialist | 16 Years Masters or Equivalent Degree or higher qualification in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Management, or a closely related field from an HEC recognized university. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
| Multi-Sectoral Results Tracking Specialist | 16 Years Masters or Equivalent Degree or higher qualification in Economics, Public Health, or any STEM field. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
| Data & Monitoring Systems Specialist | 16 Years Masters or Equivalent Degree or higher qualification in Public Health, Demography, International Development, Education, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. | At least 10 years of experience in the respective field. |
Important Terms & Conditions
- Basis of Employment: All positions will be filled strictly on a contract and merit basis.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit for candidates applying for these posts is 62 years.
- In-Service Candidates: Candidates currently working in government service must apply through the proper channel.
- Selection Process: Only short-listed candidates (determined in order of merit) will be called for interviews. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
- Allowances: No TA/DA will be admissible for candidates appearing for interviews.
