Job Opportunities Announced by 126 Ordnance Unit, Multan Cantt
MULTAN CANTT – The 126 Ordnance Unit has released a recruitment advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates for several vacant positions, ranging from BPS-3 to BPS-11.
The vacancies include posts for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Highly Skilled Mechanics (Vehicular and Auto Electrification), Storeman, Civil Driver, Painter, and Carpenter. Each position has specific educational, experiential, and quota requirements.
Key Positions and Requirements
· Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11): Applicants must have Matriculation with a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute. Selected candidates must complete a 3-week Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by NITB during their probation period. One vacancy is available under the Merit quota, with an age limit of 18-30 years.
· Highly Skilled Mechanic (Vehicular Mechanic) – BPS-10: Requires Matric and a one-year vehicle mechanic diploma from a recognized institution. One Merit quota vacancy. Age limit: 18-30.
· Highly Skilled Mechanic (Auto Electrification) – BPS-10: Requires Matric and a one-year auto electrician diploma from a recognized institution. One Merit quota vacancy. Age limit: 18-30.
· Storeman (BPS-7): Candidates need Matric, a six-month diploma in computer applications, and six months of store management experience. An alternative qualification includes JCOS/NCOS (All Arms Services) with relevant experience plus the computer diploma. There are 6 vacancies: Merit (1), Punjab (3), KPK (1), Sindh Rural (1). Age limits: 18-30 (Merit) and 18-33 (others).
· Civil Driver (BPS-4): Minimum Primary pass with a valid LTV driving license. Preference for experienced drivers. Three vacancies under Local quota. Age limit: 18-30.
· Painter (BPS-3) & Carpenter (BPS-3): Each requires Primary pass and 6 months of relevant field experience. One Local quota vacancy each. Age limit: 18-30.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates must submit their applications along with attested copies of domicile, educational certificates, two passport-size photographs, and a postal order of Rs. 300/-. Applications should be addressed to the Commanding Officer, 126 Ord Unit, Multan Cantt. Applicants must include their mobile number.
Important Conditions
· Last Date: Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication. Late applications will not be entertained.
· Test/Interview Date: Scheduled for June 4, 2026, at 08:30 AM at the Central Ordnance Depot, Khanewal.
· Eligibility for Local Quota: Candidates from District Multan, Khanewal, Okara, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh are eligible for local quota positions.
· Age Relaxation: Upper age limit for candidates from Ex-FATA, Balochistan, Sindh Rural, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir is 33 years. For Ex-Servicemen, the limit is 45 years.
· Serving government employees must apply through the proper channel.
· Women and disabled persons have quota as per government rules.
· No TA/DA will be admissible.
· The department reserves the right to reject any application.
