Ministry of Defence Production Announces Multiple Vacancies in Rawalpindi
The Directorate General Research & Development Establishment (DGRDE), operating under the Ministry of Defence Production, has released an advertisement inviting applications from Pakistani nationals to fill a range of vacant positions. The vacancies span various educational and technical qualifications, from literate-level posts to engineering diplomas and graduate degrees.
The openings are for the erstwhile MVRDE, ARDE, and IOP (now DGRDE) in Rawalpindi Cantt. A total of 23 positions are available across 19 different posts, with quotas allocated for various provinces including Punjab, Sindh (Rural and Urban), Balochistan, FATA, and local areas.
Available Positions and Eligibility
The vacancies range from BPS-1 to BPS-15. Key posts include:
· AFM (BPS-14): Open to Sindh (R) and Merit quotas. Candidates require a 3-year Associate Engineer diploma in fields like Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgy, plus 2 years of experience, or an Ex-JCO with relevant qualifications.
· Assistant (BPS-15): Two vacancies exist for Sindh (R) and Punjab (Merit). Applicants must be graduates and complete a 6-week basic IT training course, or be Ex-Army personnel with specific qualifications.
· Supervisor Upper Grade (BPS-15): One position for Balochistan (Merit). Requires an Associate Engineer degree in Radio Electronics, TV, Electrical, Optical, or Production Technology, along with 4 years of post-diploma experience.
· Research Assistant-I (BPS-15): Open to Punjab (Merit). Requires a B.Sc. with Physics as a major subject and 4 years of lab experience, or an Associate Engineer in relevant fields.
· LDC (BPS-11): For Sindh (U) and Women quota. Matriculation with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM is required, along with a 3-week IT training course.
· Gate Keeper (BPS-7): Ex-Army JCOs aged 40-50 from Sindh (U) Merit can apply with a Matric or AEC qualification.
· Naib Qasid (BPS-1): Local quota, no age limit, only requires literacy (ability to read and write).
Additionally, specific roles for women include a Machinist and Computer Tech-I (Software/Hardware) position (BPS-6) under the Punjab (Women) quota.
Terms and Conditions for Applicants
The department has outlined several key instructions for prospective candidates:
- Online Application: Interested individuals must apply directly online through the National Jobs Portal (NJP) at https://njp.gov.pk within 15 days of the date of the advertisement.
- Age Relaxation: Maximum age limits are relaxable by five years in all cases, in addition to existing rules.
- Government Employees: Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel and produce a NOC at the time of the test or interview.
- No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending the test or interview.
- Document Verification: Original academic documents, domicile, experience certificates, and discharge books (for army personnel) must be produced at the time of the interview.
- Shortlisting: Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview at designated centers in Rawalpindi or Karachi.
- Reservation of Rights: The competent authority reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, or postpone the recruitment process at any stage.
- Encouragement for Minorities: Disabled individuals, women, and minorities are also encouraged to apply against the posts as per the prescribed eligibility criteria.
