Job Openings Announced at Central Ordnance Depot Kala Jhelum
The Central Ordnance Depot (COD) in Kala Jhelum has released a notice inviting applications from Pakistani nationals for several vacant positions across various BPS scales. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply within the advertised deadline.
Available Positions and Requirements
A total of 17 vacancies are available, ranging from BPS-14 to BPS-01. The key posts include:
· Data Entry Operator (BPS-14): 1 vacancy for Sindh (R). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or IT, along with a minimum typing speed of 10,000 key depressions per hour. Age limit: 18-33 years for civilians.
· Store Keeper (BPS-14): 1 vacancy for KPK. Requires a Bachelor’s in Management, a 6-month computer diploma, and 2 years of storekeeping experience. Age: 18-30 years for civilians.
· Draughtsman (BPS-11): 1 vacancy for Punjab. Requires a 3-year DAE in Architecture & Design, plus either a 3-month AutoCAD certificate or 6 months of drawing experience.
· Asst. Store Keeper (BPS-09): 1 vacancy for KPK. Requires Matriculation, a 6-month computer diploma, and 1 year of storekeeping experience.
· Civilian Driver (BPS-04): 3 local vacancies. Requires Primary education and a valid HTV/LTV license.
· Fireman (BPS-02): 2 local vacancies. Requires Primary education and 6 months of relevant field experience.
· Naib Qasid (BPS-01): 2 local vacancies. Requires Primary education.
· Sanitary Worker (BPS-01): 1 local vacancy. Requires Primary education.
· USM (Labour) (BPS-01): 5 local vacancies. Requires Primary education and physical fitness.
For retired army personnel, the age limit for most posts is relaxed to 40-55 years. Additionally, retired JCOs/NCOs up to age 45 may apply.
Important Application Instructions
Prospective candidates must carefully follow these guidelines:
· Application Fee: A postal order of Rs. 200 (not required for BPS 1-4) must be attached in favor of the Comdt COD Kala Jhelum.
· Required Documents: Attested copies of CNIC, domicile, educational/experience certificates, and (for government employees) an NOC via proper channel.
· Address & Labeling: Clearly mention the applied post, home address, and cell number on both the application and the envelope before sending it to the Commandant’s address.
· Single Post Limit: Candidates can apply for only one post; applications for multiple posts will be rejected.
· Selection Process: Applicants must pass a departmental entrance exam. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview (no TA/DA will be provided).
Government Quotas and Deadlines
As per government policy, 10% of seats are reserved for women, 5% for non-Muslims/minorities, and 2% for disabled persons. Preference will also be given to casual depot employees who meet the service criteria.
