The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) has officially announced multiple job vacancies for its Main Campus in Islamabad as well as various regional campuses across Pakistan. These positions are being offered on a contract basis for qualified professionals seeking to advance their careers in higher education administration and information technology.

Open Positions and Eligibility Criteria

NUML is currently recruiting for several key administrative and technical roles. The specific requirements for each position are outlined below:

1. Director QEC

• Location: Islamabad (Main Campus)
• Qualifications: PhD from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum of 17 years of experience in a university or educational institution in BPS-17 and above (or equivalent).
• Preference: Candidates with prior experience in Quality Assurance within an educational setting will be preferred.

2. Deputy Regional Director

• Location(s): Mirpur (AJK), Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, Karachi, and Quetta.
• Qualifications: Master’s Degree.
• Experience: At least 13 years of high-level teaching or administrative experience in a university or other educational institution in BPS-17 and above.
• Note: Retired Colonels from the Armed Forces are also eligible to apply.

3. Additional Director Administration

• Location: Islamabad (Main Campus)
• Qualifications: Master’s Degree.
• Experience: At least 13 years of teaching or administrative experience in public or private sector organizations in BPS-17 and above.
• Note: Retired Colonels or Lieutenant Colonels from the Armed Forces are also eligible to apply.

4. Computer Programming Officer

• Location: Islamabad (Main Campus)
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering (SE), or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Technical proficiency must include software development in C#, ASP.NET, Stored Procedures, 3-tier architecture, MVC, REST APIs, clean architecture, code-first, MS SQL Server, and front-end web development.
• Preference: Experience developing these specific tools for educational institutions is highly preferred.

5. Database Administrator

• Location: Islamabad (Main Campus)
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in CS, SE, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Applicants must have professional-level experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL for database management, backup, recovery, performance monitoring, load testing, query optimization, and data extraction.
• Core Duties: Collaboration with the software team for deployment, scripting, logging, security, and database compliance.
