Punjab Mineral Development Corporation (Punjmin) Announces Walk-In Interviews for Contingent Staff

The Punjab Mineral Development Corporation (Punjmin), an autonomous body established under the Punjab Mineral Development Corporation Act of 1975, has officially announced multiple job opportunities on a contingent basis. Operating under the administrative control of the Mines & Minerals Department, Government of the Punjab, Punjmin has been a cornerstone in the development, production, and marketing of vital minerals like Coal, Rock Salt, Gypsum, Silica Sand, and Bauxite for over five decades.

To support its ongoing projects and field operations across the Province of Punjab, Punjmin is seeking qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals for various technical, administrative, and field roles.

Key Positions and Walk-In Interview Schedule

Interviews will take place over multiple days in late June and early July 2026. Below is a summary of the available vacancies, categorized by interview dates and primary roles:

1. Executive & Management Roles (Interviews: June 29, 2026)

  • Assistant Manager (Technical): Requires a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering (experience preferred). Daily rates are Rs. 5,265 (Lahore) / Rs. 4,370 (Projects).
  • Assistant Manager (Geology) / Assistant Geologist: Requires an M.Sc. in Geology.
  • Assistant Manager (Accounts) / Accountant: Open to M.Com, MBA (Finance), or B.Com graduates with relevant accounting experience.
  • Assistant Manager (Marketing): Requires an MBA in Marketing or a Master’s degree with 3 years of marketing experience.

2. Support & Technical Staff (Interviews: June 30, 2026)

  • Accounts Assistant & Junior Clerk: Requires relevant commerce degrees or HSSC qualifications alongside basic computer proficiency (25 wpm typing speed for clerks).
  • Sub Engineer (Civil) / Overseer & Surveyor: Open to diploma and certificate holders with 3 years of practical field experience.
  • Weighbridge Operator: Open to Matriculates with 3 years of relevant experience.

3. Skilled Technical & Field Roles (Interviews: July 1, 2026)

  • Assistant Mine/Quarry Supervisor & Mine Sirdar: For certificate holders from recognized mining training institutes.
  • Welder, Electrician, & Mechanic: Technical roles requiring specialized diplomas or certificates alongside field experience.
  • Drivers & Heavy Machinery Operators: Positions include LTV Drivers, Tractor/Truck Drivers, Timbermen, Haulage Operators, and Pump Operators.

4. Site Operations & Security (Interviews: July 2, 2026)

  • Mine Fitter & Drilling Assistant/Operator: Specialized technical support for extraction sites.
  • Cook, Attendant/Helper, & Sweeper: Essential support staff for various project locations.
  • Chowkidar / Security Guard: 16 posts available for security personnel across multiple stations.
  • Shot Firer & Loader Operator: Specialized operations roles requiring literacy or certified certificates.

Important Terms & Conditions

Before applying, candidates should note the following critical rules outlined by Punjmin:

  1. Nature of Contract: All appointments are purely on a contingent basis and do not confer any right to permanent employment or regularization.
  2. Duration: The appointment will remain valid until the end of the financial year 2026–27 or until the completion of the project, whichever comes first.
