University of Education, Lahore Announces New Teaching Vacancies for 2026

The University of Education, Lahore (UE Lahore), a premier multi-campus and multidisciplinary institution established in 2002, has officially announced new vacancies for teaching posts. The university is seeking qualified, dynamic, and suitable candidates for positions across its various divisions and campuses.

Positions are available for the ranks of Assistant Professor (BS-19) and Lecturer (BS-18) in key academic disciplines.

1. Vacant Positions & Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor (BS-19)

• Status: Regular / TTS / Contract
• Age Limit: 25–45 years

• Qualification Required: PhD in the relevant field (Information Technology/Computing or Management Sciences) from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Lecturer (BS-18)

• Status: On One-Year Contract
• Age Limit: 21–35 years
• Disciplines & Campus Distribution:
  • Information Technology / Computer Science:

    • 2 for DG Khan Campus

• Qualification Required: MS or M.Phil. (first division) in Information Technology or Computing from an HEC-recognized university.

Note on Eligibility: Applicants with a third division in their academic career are generally ineligible. However, an applicant holding a PhD in the relevant field with no more than one third division throughout their entire academic career will be considered eligible.

2. Application Process & Fee Structure

Interested candidates must complete a two-step application process involving both online submission and hardcopy delivery.

How to Apply:

1. Online Application: Apply via the university job portal at web.ue.edu.pk/jobs/. No editing is allowed after submission, so fill out the form carefully.
2. Application Fee: Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the non-refundable processing fee at any branch of the Bank of Punjab.

3. Hardcopy Submission: Submit a signed printout of the pre-filled online application form to the Registrar Office, University of Education, College Road Township Campus, Lahore.
4. Required Documents: Attach one set of attested copies of your CNIC, domicile, educational documents/certificates, experience certificates, and the original deposit receipt/challan form.

Crucial Deadline:

• Closing Date: The deadline for the submission of online applications and the receipt of hardcopies (by hand or via courier) is 20.07.2026 within office hours. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.

3. General Information & Guidelines

• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation may be granted to suitable candidates according to government and university rules.
• Quota: Quotas for disabled persons, minorities, and women will be strictly observed as per rules.
• Government Employees: Candidates currently working in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Domicile: Appointments (other than under the tenure track system or faculty) will be made from candidates domiciled in the Punjab.
• Test/Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
