The non-governmental and non-profit organization, Sami Foundation, has officially announced multiple job openings aimed at driving socioeconomic uplift and climate resilience across marginalized communities in Sindh. As seen in the official advertisement, the foundation is seeking qualified, passionate, and experienced professionals to lead key developmental initiatives in the region.

The current recruitment drive focuses on two major programs: the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance (ZCRA) project (operating in District Matiari and District Shaheed Benazir Abad) and the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Project (based in District Umerkot).

Open Positions and Requirements

Sami Foundation is looking to fill three key roles, each demanding a distinct blend of academic qualifications and professional expertise:

1. Project Manager (M/F) – ZCRA Program

  • Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction), Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in project management. Candidates must possess at least 5 years of managerial experience specifically covering climate change/resilience, nature-based solutions, climate-smart agriculture, and managing flood or heatwave projects.
  • Key Skills: A proven track record in policy and stakeholder engagement at both district and provincial levels, alongside experience working with multi-level stakeholders (government line departments, the private sector, UN agencies, and academia).

2. Project Manager (M/F) – BCI Program

  • Qualification: Preferably a Ph.D., M.Phil., or M.Sc. in Agriculture or another social science discipline from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to agriculture-related initiatives (preferably cotton-related project management).
  • Key Skills: Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, specifically working with government bodies, academia, research institutions, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

3. HR, Admin & Logistic Officer

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration (BBA, BPA, MBA, MPA) or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to candidates holding an MBA or MPA degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience handling HR, administration, and routine logistical tasks within development sector organizations.
