AJK Health Department Announces 41 Postgraduate Training Slots for Medical Graduates
The Directorate General Health of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) has officially invited applications from AJK national medical graduates for postgraduate training (FCPS Part-II/MCPS) across multiple disciplines in teaching hospitals within and outside the region.
According to an advertisement issued by the department, a total of 41 training slots are available. The last date to submit applications is June 15, 2026.

Eligibility & Application Requirements
Candidates must hold AJK state subject status. Required documents include a valid CNIC, domicile, MBBS degree with detailed marksheets, house job certificates, valid PM&DC registration, and CPSP/University Part-I result card.
The department has specified that job experience at primary and secondary levels (signed by the DHO/MS) will be considered, but no credit will be given for experience at tertiary care or teaching hospitals in or outside AJK.
Additional weight will be given for university distinctions and published papers (up to five) in HEC/PM&DC-approved journals.
Key Terms & Conditions
· Merit-Based Selection: Slots will be filled purely on merit. Candidates must clearly mention their specialty and institution preferences.
· Foreign Graduates: Must submit a PM&DC equivalence certificate.
· Pre-requisites for Specialties: For example, FCPS Cardiology requires two years of general medicine training; Critical Care Medicine requires FCPS Part-II in Anesthesia, Pulmonology, Medicine, Nephrology, or General Surgery.
· Ineligibility: Those already in paid PG training in AJK hospitals cannot apply. Permanent government employees must have extraordinary leave granted beforehand.
· Refusal Penalty: Candidates who refuse to join after being selected twice will be barred from the next two induction processes.
Affidavit & Financial Bond
Selected trainees must submit a notarized affidavit affirming commitment to hospital regulations and refraining from political or anti-state activities, including protests. Non-compliance may lead to immediate termination.
Additionally, a mandatory survey bond of PKR 1.5 million must be submitted before commencing training. This bond requires the individual to serve the AJK Department of Health for five years after training. Failure to do so will result in repayment of the total stipend received.

Application forms can be downloaded from healthajk.gok.pk or obtained from the gazetted section office at the Director General Health AJK Office, F-Block, New District Complex, Old Secretariat, Muzaffarabad. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.
