Career Opportunities: UET Lahore Announces Vacant Positions

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, has officially announced multiple teaching, administrative, and leadership positions across its various campuses. Applications are invited from eligible candidates holding a Punjab Domicile for positions located at the UET Main Campus (Lahore), New Campus, and Rachna College of Engineering and Technology (RCET), Gujranwala.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 8, 2026.

Below is a detailed breakdown of the vacant positions, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.

1. Faculty Positions

A. Assistant Professor (BS-19 / Contract)

UET is looking to hire Assistant Professors across multiple departments and campuses. The breakdown of seats is as follows:

• New Campus:
  • Mechanical, Mechatronics & Manufacturing Engineering (01 Post)
  • Computer Science (04 Posts)
  • Management Sciences – Specialization in Financial Economics (01 Post)
• Main Campus:
  • Extension of Institute of AI, ML and Cyber Security (01 Post)
  • Computer Engineering (02 Posts)
  • Institute of Data Sciences (01 Post)

B. Teaching Fellow (Main Campus)

• Departments: Civil Engineering (01 Post) & Computer Science (01 Post)
• Stipend/Salary: Rs. 75,000/- Per Month
• Required Qualification: At least an 18-year Master’s (or M.Phil) degree in the relevant discipline. Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in a semester system or 73% marks in an annual system from a program accredited by PEC or recognized by HEC. A similar CGPA/percentage requirement is mandatory for the Bachelor’s degree.

2. Leadership & Administrative Positions

A. Principal — RCET Gujranwala (01 Post)

• Role: Serves as the administrative head of the campus, responsible for education, research, and governance in line with UET’s vision.
• Required Qualification & Experience: At least 4 years of experience as a regular Professor (BS-21) in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Age Limit: Maximum 57 years on the last date of application submission.
• Terms & Salary: Appointed for a period of 3 years (renewable by the Syndicate). Entitled to a salary equivalent to BS-21 plus an additional remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- per month, an official maintained car, and other university-policy benefits.

B. Administrative Officer (BS-17 on Contract)

• Location/Posts: Main Campus (03 Posts)
• Required Qualification: Graduate of a recognized university with 10 years of office experience.
• Salary: Equivalent to BS-17 on contract.

Important Instructions for Applicants

• HEC & PEC Registration: Eligibility criteria strictly follow the HEC Faculty Criteria. Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory for all engineering disciplines.

• Application Processing Fee: A postal order or HBL deposit slip (Account No. 01287902801499) of Rs. 2000/- in favor of the Treasurer UET, Lahore, must be attached to the printed application.
• Submission Details:
  • Print out the completed online application, sign it, upload a passport-size scanned photograph, and attach all required documents.
  • Applications for Teaching Fellow must be sent directly to the Chairman of the concerned department.
  • Applications for Assistant Professor, Principal, and Administrative Officer must reach the Registrar Office, UET Lahore.
