Career Opportunity: Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department KP Announces Multiple Vacancies
The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has released a major recruitment drive for eligible candidates holding KP domicile. The department is inviting online applications for a total of 119 vacant positions, ranging from BPS-07 to BPS-11.
The vacancies include roles for Assistant Sub Inspectors and Constables, with specific postings at Joint Check Posts (JCPs) as well as other departmental offices.
Available Positions and Eligibility
The department is seeking to fill four key positions. Candidates must possess at least a 2nd Class Intermediate degree for Inspector roles and a 2nd Class Secondary School Certificate for Constable posts.
Physical standards are strictly required. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches and a chest measurement of 33 inches with a 1.5-inch expansion. Female candidates require a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
The age limit varies by position, ranging from 18 to 32 years, with relaxation applicable under government rules.
Position Breakdown:
· Assistant Sub Inspector (Joint Check Post) – BPS-11: 12 vacancies.
· Constable (Joint Check Post) – BPS-07: 55 vacancies.
· Assistant Sub Inspector – BPS-11: 13 vacancies.
· Constable – BPS-07: 39 vacancies.
Important Note: Candidates selected for the Joint Check Post positions (S.No 1 & 2) will serve exclusively at designated check posts and cannot be transferred to other departmental offices.
Quota and Application Process
The vacancies are distributed across various zones (I to VI) and include specific quotas for minorities. Candidates must apply online through the ETEA website: www.etea.edu.pk.
A unique step in this process requires candidates to get their CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat Kiosk after creating their profile. Without this verification, applicants cannot proceed with fee submission.
The application window opens on May 27, 2026, and closes on June 20, 2026. The test fee is nonrefundable and can be paid via Easypaisa or at any UBL Bank branch using a generated deposit slip.
Key Terms for Applicants
· No Documents to Send Now: Candidates should not send testimonials to ETEA initially. Documents will only be requested from those who qualify for the screening test.
· SMS Instructions: ETEA will notify candidates via SMS to download roll number slips from the website. Applicants are advised not to use ported or converted mobile numbers.
· Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters. No TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.
· Government Employees: Those working in government or semi-government bodies must apply through the proper channel.
· Foreign Degrees: Candidates with foreign degrees must provide an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
