Job Opportunities: District Health Officer Tank Announces New Vacancies

The District Health Officer (DHO) of Tank has officially invited applications for various positions under the Lady Health Worker Program for Family Planning and Primary Health Care. These roles are specifically designed to strengthen community health services across several Union Councils.


1. Lady Health Workers (BPS-05)

A total of 10 vacancies are available for Lady Health Workers (LHW) in the following areas:

  • Locations: Cat D Hospital Amakhel, BHU Shiekh Sultan, DHQ Hospital Tank, MCH Center Tank, BHU Ranwal, Mullazai, Mohallah Qutab Colony, Mohallah Khdrain Wala, Mohallah Dost Muhammad Katti Khel, Mohallah Faizullah Colony, Village Amakhel, and Village Nandoor.
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Education: Minimum Matric pass.
    • Marital Status: Married women are preferred (Age 18–45). Unmarried women are also eligible (Age 20–45).
    • Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of the specific area or Union Council for which they are applying.
    • Role: Must be willing to provide health services directly from their homes to the community.

2. Support Staff Positions (Daily Wages)

In addition to the LHW roles, the DHO office is hiring for support staff on a daily wage basis for various health centers (including PHC centers in Jandola).

Terms and Conditions for Application

  • Domicile: Applicants must hold a domicile for District Tank and belong to the relevant Union Council.
  • Application Process: Interested candidates should submit their applications along with certified copies of their educational documents to the DHO office within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
  • Selection Process:
    • Eligible candidates for LHW positions will undergo a written test.
    • A minimum of 50% marks in the written test is required to qualify for the interview.
    • The test for LHWs is scheduled for May 27, 2026, at the DHO Office Tank.
  • Verification: Original CNICs and residency certificates (verified by the relevant Union Council Secretary) must be presented at the time of the interview. Spot verification of the “catchment area” residency will be conducted by the selection committee.
  • Quotas: As per government policy, a 2% disability quota and a 5% minority quota will be observed.
  • General Rules: Age relaxation will be provided according to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government rules. No TA/DA will be provided for those appearing in the interview.
