Job Opportunity: Kohat Forest Division Announces Forest Guard Vacancies for 2026

The Kohat Forest Division, Kohat, has officially announced exciting employment opportunities for eligible candidates looking to build a career in forestry and environmental protection. Online applications are invited through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) for the permanent posts of Forest Guard (BPS-08).

Vacancy Overview and Post Distribution

A total of 29 positions are available for the Forest Guard post, with a structured distribution ensuring representation across different categories and regions:

1. Open Merit (70% Quota = 18 Posts)

  • District Kohat: 6 posts
  • District Karak: 6 posts
  • District Hangu: 6 posts

2. Sub Division / Range Quota (30% Quota = 10 Posts)

  • Kohat Sub Division: 2 posts
  • Hangu Sub Division: 2 posts
  • Karak Sub Division: 2 posts
  • Teri Forest Range: 2 posts
  • Thall Forest Range: 2 posts

3. Minority Quota (5% Quota = 1 Post)

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for these positions, candidates must fulfill the following strict educational, age, and physical requirements:

  • Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (Age relaxation will be admissible as per existing Government Rules).
  • Education: Intermediate in Science from a recognized Board.
  • Domicile: Must hold a valid domicile for Kohat, Karak, or Hangu districts.

Physical Fitness Requirements:

  • Health: Candidates must be completely free from all physical and mental disabilities.
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches ($5’6″$).
  • Chest Size: Minimum 32–34 inches.
  • Marathon Race: Candidates must be able to complete a 3 KM race within 15 minutes.

Important Terms & Conditions

  • Training: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a compulsory One-Year Training course at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forest School, Abbottabad.
  • Surety Bond: Selected candidates must submit a Surety Bond of Rs. 300,000/- on stamp paper, undertaking to serve the Forest Department, Kohat Forest Division, for a minimum period of five (5) years.
  • Verification: Candidates must create a profile on the ETEA website and get their CNIC verified via the NADRA E-Sahulat franchise before applying.

  1. Visit the ETEA official website at www.etea.edu.pk.
  2. Create or update your profile and generate the prescribed Online Deposit Slip.
  3. Deposit the non-refundable test fee via the Easypaisa App, an authorized Easypaisa Agent, or any branch of UBL Bank.
  4. Keep the original deposit slip safe for your own record—do not mail physical documents to the ETEA office at this stage.

Note: Roll number slips, test dates, timings, and venues will be communicated digitally via SMS and will be available for download on the ETEA website. No separate call letters will be dispatched via postal mail.
