KAPCO, a leading publicly listed energy company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), is entering a transformative phase. The company is actively diversifying its portfolio, notably by acquiring a substantial stake in Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (ACPL). To lead this evolution, KAPCO is seeking a seasoned executive with exceptional strategic and financial acumen.
Core Responsibilities
The CEO/MD will work closely with the Board of Directors to drive long-term value and operational excellence through:
- Strategic Leadership: Developing corporate strategies aligned with board priorities and identifying growth opportunities in renewable energy and other emerging sectors.
- Investment & Partnerships: Leading Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, and project financing, including the disposal of non-used power plant assets.
- Regulatory Engagement: Navigating the evolving energy landscape, specifically the CTBCM (Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market) framework.
- Operational Performance: Ensuring cost-effective delivery of financial targets and overseeing pipeline projects.
- Organizational Culture: Strengthening leadership benches and promoting high standards of corporate governance and innovation.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
KAPCO is looking for a “seasoned leader” with a track record in large-scale, multi-dimensional organizations. Key requirements include:
- Experience: Minimum 20 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in senior executive roles.
- Sector Expertise: Proven success in energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
- Education: An advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance from a reputable local or international institution is preferred.
- Skills: Deep understanding of Pakistan’s regulatory environment, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to high integrity.
