The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is officially seeking a highly qualified professional to fill the role of Manager Procurement. This critical position is tasked with overseeing the board’s procurement activities, ensuring that the acquisition of goods and services is cost-effective, timely, and strictly compliant with regulatory frameworks.

As the governing body for cricket in Pakistan, the PCB is looking for an individual who can balance the fast-paced needs of sports administration with the rigorous transparency required in the public sector.


Key Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this leadership role, candidates must meet specific educational and professional benchmarks:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. The PCB has expressed a preference for candidates with backgrounds in large-scale or public sector organizations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Applicants must demonstrate a strong command of PPRA Rules, contract law, and public sector procurement frameworks.
  • Soft Skills: High standards of ethics, transparency, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Proficiency in MS Office and document management tools is also required.

Core Responsibilities

The Manager Procurement will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the board’s sourcing and contracting. Primary duties include:

  1. Strategic Management: Implementing procurement strategies that align with the PCB’s long-term objectives.
  2. Compliance: Ensuring all activities adhere to internal policies and applicable legal frameworks (notably PPRA).
  3. Negotiation & Sourcing: Managing tendering and negotiation processes across diverse categories to ensure value and risk mitigation.
  4. Collaboration: Working closely with Legal, Finance, and Operational teams to align contractual obligations.
  5. Audit Readiness: Maintaining a central repository of all documents to ensure complete traceability.
