The Bank of Punjab Announces Senior Leadership Role in Cards & Digital Banking

The Bank of Punjab (BOP), a leading financial institution in Pakistan with over 35 years of heritage and a massive network of 900+ branches, is officially expanding its Cards & Digital Banking Operations Division.

As part of its aggressive progression strategy, the bank has opened applications for a high-impact leadership position: Unit Head/Segment Head – Credit Cards & Acquiring Operations.


Key Role Responsibilities

This position, based in Lahore, sits within the Operations Group and is designed for a professional capable of managing complex financial ecosystems. The successful candidate will:

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of card operations, including daily settlements with major schemes like Visa, Mastercard, and China UnionPay.
  • Strategic Frameworks: Design operational protocols for high-volume public sector projects and automated reconciliation architectures to ensure 100% financial accuracy.
  • Compliance & Audit: Operate within a “zero-tolerance” threshold for SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) mandates and payment card scheme rules. The role involves leading audit remediations to implement long-term systemic fixes.
  • Strategic Growth: Spearhead system enhancements to build a robust infrastructure that can absorb rapid portfolio growth without sacrificing speed or accuracy.
  • Merchant Operations: Direct the merchant payment cycle, ensuring accurate reimbursements and fee applications across POS and E-commerce channels.

Eligibility Criteria

The Bank is seeking a seasoned banking professional who meets the following rigorous standards:

Total ExperienceAt least 10 years of banking operations experience.
