Pakistan Embassy College Beijing Seeks New Principal; Applications Open Until May 15
The Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) has officially announced a vacancy for the position of Principal, inviting applications from qualified educational leaders with substantial experience in senior school leadership roles.
The position, based at the international school in Beijing, will report directly to the Board of Governors. Candidates must be between the ages of 45 and 50 years.
Qualifications and Experience
According to the announcement, applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with higher qualifications in Education, Educational Leadership, or School Administration preferred. The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge of academic leadership and curriculum planning in an English-medium institution, familiarity with international curricula—preferably Cambridge—as well as Pakistan’s national curriculum streams.
A minimum of seven years of service in senior school leadership is required, including substantial responsibility as a Principal, Vice Principal, or Head of School in a reputable English-medium institution, preferably abroad. The role demands a strong track record in academic and instructional leadership, staff management, stakeholder relations, and daily school operations, including financial oversight and resource planning.

The Board is seeking a candidate who demonstrates professionalism, integrity, strong instructional leadership, and the ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and multicultural school culture. Excellent written and spoken English, interpersonal skills, and working knowledge of educational technology and school management systems are essential.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo an interview, a leadership presentation, and a medical check-up.
In addition to the salary, the college will provide free semi-furnished accommodation and medical care for the selected candidate, their spouse, and up to two children.
