Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following stringent requirements:

1. Age Limit

• The maximum age limit is 35 years.
• Age relaxation will be granted as per Federal Government Rules. For candidates already in Government service with a minimum of 2 years of regular continuous service, an upper age relaxation of up to 10 years may be eligible, subject to a maximum age limit of 55 years.

2. Qualifications

• Basic Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the PM&DC. (Or M.Sc. of a recognized university in case of basic sciences in the relevant subject for non-medical graduates).
• Postgraduate Qualification: D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil, etc., in the respective subjects, or FCPS/MD with DPH (for Public Health institutes only), or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.

3. Experience & Research

• Experience: 5 years of teaching or practical experience before or after the postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject for holders of higher postgraduate qualifications like FCPS, etc. Preference is structured as follows:
  1. 1st Preference: Teaching experience.
  2. 2nd Preference: Practical experience after postgraduate qualification.
  3. 3rd Preference: Practical experience before postgraduate qualification.
• Research: Credit will be given for original publication research work published in a standard Medical Journal.

Important Terms & Conditions

• Appointment Basis: Appointments will be made on a regular basis in accordance with the rules and regulations of SZPGMI, Lahore.
• Special Quotas: Disable quota, minority quota, women quota, and transgender quota will be observed as per Federal Government Rules.
• Testing Agency: The entire written screening process will be managed independently by Candidate Testing Services (CTS). Candidates will need to pay a separate fee to CTS for each post.
• No Manual/Advance Applications: No application will be accepted by hand, and advance copies of applications will not be entertained.
• Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
