Punjab Special Education Department Announces Multiple Contract-Based Positions

The Special Education Department, Government of Punjab, has announced new job opportunities for professionals and allied staff. The department intends to hire staff for its “Strategic Planning Unit” and for the role of “Monitoring & Evaluation Assistants” on a contract basis.

According to the official advertisement, the appointments will be made for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension based on individual performance. Candidates with a Punjab domicile are eligible to apply.

Available Positions and Salaries

The department is seeking to fill the following nine positions with lump-sum monthly salaries:

1. Deputy Director (Planning): 01 post, Rs. 145,000/month. Requires a Master’s degree in relevant fields (Economics, Statistics, etc.) with five years of experience. Age limit: 30-40 years.
2. Assistant Director (Budget): 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires MBA (Finance), M.Com, or ACCA with two years of experience in budgeting/audit/accounting. Age limit: 25-35 years.
3. Assistant Director (Special Initiatives): 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires a Master’s or BSc in Special Education, Psychology, or Child Development with two years of relevant experience. Age limit: 25-35 years.
4. Assistant Director (Audit): 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires MBA (Finance), CA Inter, or ACCA with two years of relevant experience. Age limit: 25-35 years.
5. Assistant Director (Public & Private Partnership): 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires a Master’s degree in Project Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law, or Business Administration with two years of professional experience in PPP projects. Age limit: 25-35 years.
6. Planning Officer: 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or related fields with five years of research experience. Age limit: 25-35 years.
7. Assistant Director (Admin): 01 post, Rs. 115,000/month. Requires 16 years of education in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management Sciences, or Social Sciences. Age limit: 25-35 years.
8. Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant: 20 posts, Rs. 77,000/month. Requires an MSc in Commerce, Computer Science, IT, Special Education, or any Social Science discipline, along with two years of working experience. Age limit: 25-35 years.
9. Driver: 01 post, Rs. 42,000/month. Age limit: 25-40 years.

Important Terms and Conditions

· Deadline: The last date to submit applications is June 26, 2026.
· Selection: Only short-listed candidates who meet the criteria will be called for an interview.

· Age Relaxation: Age relaxation as per government policy is already included in the limits mentioned. No further relaxation will be granted.
· No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
