PIDC Announces Search for New Chief Executive Officer

The Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (Pvt) Limited (PIDC), a prominent State-Owned Enterprise under the Federal Government of Pakistan, has officially announced a vacancy for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Based in Karachi, the appointment will be made by the Board of Directors in alignment with the CMU (Finance Division) Guidelines for C-Level Appointments.

Role and Responsibility

The incoming CEO will be tasked with the day-to-day management of the corporation. This leadership role carries significant accountability, as the individual will report directly to the Board of Directors and the Government, adhering to the framework prescribed in the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023.

Candidate Requirements

PIDC is seeking a proactive professional who meets stringent qualification and experience criteria:

• Educational Background: Applicants must hold at least a graduate degree (16 years of education) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution. Members of recognized professional accounting bodies are also eligible.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 20 years of experience in governance, business administration, finance, commerce, or marketing within commercially oriented organizations is required. Essential experience includes having held a CEO or departmental head position in a reputable organization.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be under 62 years of age by the application closing date.

Terms of Appointment

The selected candidate will be offered a three-year contract. The compensation package includes a competitive salary within the Grade D-I salary band, determined by the candidate’s specific qualifications and experience, along with benefits as per PIDC HR policy.
