WAPDA Invites Applications for Independent Technical and Contractual Auditors for Dasu Hydropower Project

The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has announced a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) for hiring Independent Technical and Contractual Auditors to conduct a performance audit of consultancy services related to the Dasu Hydropower Project Stage-I in Pakistan.

Background

The Government of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank through the International Development Association (IDA) to support the Dasu Hydropower Project. Part of these funds will be utilized to hire independent auditors who will evaluate the consultancy services provided for the project’s construction design and supervision activities.

The selected consultants will perform an independent audit to assess technical, contractual, and management aspects of the consultancy services associated with the project.

Required Qualifications

Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding higher qualifications in relevant fields.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of engineering consultancy services related to:
    • Design and supervision of large-scale hydropower projects.
    • Contractual auditing.
    • Contract management.

Selection Method

The consultant selection process will follow the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2023 Edition). Selection will be based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform the required services.
