Job Opportunity: WAPDA Seeks Director (Security) on Contract Basis

Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), under its “Decade of Dams” initiative, has announced a job opening for the position of Director (Security). The advertisement invites applications from eligible candidates, particularly retired armed forces officers.

Position Details:

· Post: Director (Security)
· Grade: BPS-19
· Number of Posts: 02
· Place of Posting: Anywhere in WAPDA formations within Pakistan.
· Quota: Open Merit

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be retired officers from the armed forces. Two categories are considered:

1. Retired Colonel / Lieutenant Colonel (or equivalent rank) – Maximum age: 52 years.
2. Retired Major (or equivalent rank) – Maximum age: 50 years. Preference will be given to those with relevant field experience.

Terms of Employment:
The appointment is on a contract basis for one year, including a six-month probation period. Extensions may be granted based on satisfactory performance and organizational requirement. The service contract will not be regularized.

Key Conditions:

· Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview; no TA/DA is admissible.
· No further age relaxation is allowed; age is calculated from the last date of application submission.
· Candidates dismissed or debarred from service on disciplinary grounds are ineligible.
· Applicants must be medically and physically fit.
· Project allowance is applicable only for postings at project sites.
· WAPDA reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage without assigning a reason.

Application Process:

1. Submit the application online within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication via the CTS website: www.ctspak.com.
2. Pay a test fee of Rs. 170/- at any branch of Bank Alflah, UBL, MCB, or Bank Islami using the prescribed bank challan from the CTS website. Alternatively, deposit via banking apps and attach the payment receipt.
3. Send a printed copy of the online application form, along with attested copies of educational documents, domicile certificate, CNIC, retirement orders (with SOS/SOD issued by the MS Branch), experience certificates, two recent passport-size photos, and the original fee challan by courier or Pakistan Post to:

Central Testing Services office, 414, F2, Jeff Heights, Main Boulevard, Gulberg-II, Lahore, Pakistan.

1. Applications submitted by hand or after the due date will not be accepted.
