BISP Announces Contract-Based Driver Recruitment for Mobile Registration Vans


The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced 40 vacant positions for Drivers to operate its newly procured Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs). The contract-based recruitment aims to strengthen outreach, particularly in remote and far-flung areas across Pakistan.

According to an official advertisement published by the BISP headquarters in Islamabad, selected candidates will receive a fixed, all-inclusive salary of Rs. 55,000 per month. The appointment is purely on a contract basis for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and program requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess a Matriculation certificate from a recognized institution and hold a valid LTV or HTV driving license. The age limit is set between 18 and 35 years, with a five-year general age relaxation applicable.

Provincial Quota Breakdown

The positions are distributed across provinces and regions as follows:

· Balochistan: 16 posts
· Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 8 posts
· Sindh: 5 posts
· Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT): 2 posts
· Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK): 1 post
· Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 1 post
· Surplus Pool: 7 posts

Application and Important Instructions

BISP has clarified that applications will only be accepted online through a dedicated portal: https://jobs.bisp.gov.pk/DriverApplication. Hard copies, emailed applications, or applications submitted by any other means will be rejected.

Candidates are required to ensure their domicile matches the province they are applying for. Selected drivers will be deployed at the provincial level and must be prepared to operate MRVs in challenging, remote areas while ensuring the safety of staff and equipment.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo written tests, skill assessments, and a medical examination. No Travel or Daily Allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for attending tests or interviews.

Important Deadlines & Disclaimers

The application deadline is set for fifteen days from the date of publication of the advertisement. Age will be calculated based on the last date for submission.

The department has warned that any fake documents or unverified domicile certificates will lead to the cancellation of appointment. Furthermore, appointees on a lump-sum contract basis will not be eligible for regularization of their posts on any grounds.

Candidates are advised to keep their mobile numbers operational, as test and interview schedules will be communicated via SMS and the BISP website.
