Job Overview and Eligibility Criteria

• Position: Senior Associate (Geophysics)
• Maximum Age: 33 years (as of the closing date of the advertisement)
• Educational Qualification: A 4-year BS in Geophysics, though an MS is preferred (Minimum 16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Required Experience: 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience specifically in Quality Control (QC), processing, and interpreting geophysical surveys for geo-resource exploration.
• Technical Knowledge: Essential broad knowledge of the metals and mining industry, alongside proficiency in operating geophysical instruments and utilizing software-driven data analysis tools.
• Domicile Preference: Candidates holding a domicile from Balochistan, KPK, and Islamabad will be preferred.

Key Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with core exploration and analytical duties, including:

1. Survey Planning & Execution: Designing exploration programs using techniques like ERT, EM, magnetic, gravity, and other potential field methods.
2. Data Processing & Interpretation: Quality-checking and processing datasets for exploration targeting, subsurface mapping, and resource evaluation.
3. Subsurface Modeling: Developing integrated 2D and 3D subsurface models by blending geophysical findings with geological mapping, lithology, geochemistry, and drilling data.
4. Field Operations Support: Assisting with survey planning, field equipment usage, and data collection while ensuring field QC.
5. Database & Software Management: Managing exploration databases (archival, validation, metadata tagging) and leveraging analytical tools like Oasis Montaj and workflow automation software.
6. Reporting & Compliance: Preparing technical reports and presentations regarding exploration risks and target rationales, while ensuring strict compliance with local and international data collection regulations.
