UET Lahore Announces New Research and Technical Vacancies in Polymer Engineering
The Department of Polymer and Process Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, has officially announced new job opportunities for its Polymer Chair on Sustainability and Circularity.
The department is seeking qualified, motivated, and suitable individuals to fill two distinct contractual positions: Research Associate and Technical Support Staff.

Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria
1. Research Associate (01 Post)
This position is tailored for engineering graduates looking to contribute to research in sustainability and circularity within the polymer sector.
- Educational Qualification: Minimum undergraduate degree (BS/BSc Engineering) in Polymer, Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Academic Requirements: A minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 70% marks in the respective engineering degree.
- Salary: Rs. 80,000/- per month (all-inclusive).
- Benefits & Tenure: Performance-based annual increments. The initial contract is for one year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years based on satisfactory performance.
2. Technical Support Staff (01 Post)
This role focuses on the hands-on operations, maintenance, and technical management of specialized polymer processing equipment.
- Educational Qualification & Experience: * FSc or DAE (1st Division) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of industrial experience in the polymer processing industry.
- OR Matric (1st Division) with a minimum of 8 years of industrial experience in the polymer processing industry.
- Technical Skills Required: Proven expertise to operate and maintain polymer processing machinery, including extruders, injection molding, blow molding, blown film, and calendar equipment.
- Salary: Rs. 70,000/- per month (all-inclusive).
- Benefits & Tenure: Performance-based annual increments. The initial contract is for one year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years based on satisfactory performance.
