Government of KP Announces New Jobs in Communication & Works Department

The Communication & Works (C&W) Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Peshawar), has officially announced several regular job openings. These positions are specifically reserved under the Minority Quota for eligible candidates residing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Online applications are being processed through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).

Available Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria

The department is hiring for four distinct positions, ranging from BPS-07 to BPS-14. Below are the specific requirements for each role:

1. Junior Scale Stenographer (BPS-14)

  • Total Posts: 03
  • Quota: Minority Quota
  • Age Limit: 18–30 Years
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • Intermediate / D-Com from a recognized board.
    • A shorthand speed of 50 words per minute (wpm) in English.
    • A typing speed of 35 words per minute (wpm) in English.
    • Computer knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.

2. Draftsman (BPS-12)

  • Total Posts: 02
  • Quota: Minority Quota
  • Age Limit: 18–30 Years
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • At least 2nd Division Secondary School Certificate (Matric) from a recognized board.
    • Two Years Certificate Course in Civil Draftsmanship from a recognized institute or Board of Technical Education.
    • Six months course in AutoCAD (2-D, 3-D) Drawing and Computer Knowledge of MS Office from a recognized Trade Testing Board (TTB).

3. Junior Clerk (BPS-11)

  • Total Posts: 08
  • Quota: Minority Quota
  • Age Limit: 18–28 Years
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • At least Second Division Intermediate Certificate (FA/FSc) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
    • A typing speed of 30 words per minute (wpm) in English.

4. Tracer (BPS-07)

  • Total Posts: 03
  • Quota: Minority Quota
  • Age Limit: 18–30 Years
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • At least Second Division Secondary School Certificate (Matric) from a recognized board.
    • Survey course or its equivalent from a Trade Testing Board or Board of Technical Education.
    • Three (03) months course in AutoCAD (2-D, 3-D) drawing and Computer knowledge of MS Office (or equivalent) from a Trade Testing Board or Board of Technical Education.

Key Terms and Conditions

  • Screening Test: Candidates will initially be allowed to sit for the ETEA screening test based on the information provided online. Detailed scrutiny of physical documents will be done later for shortlisted candidates.
  • NADRA Verification: All candidates must create a profile on ETEA’s website. Before applying or depositing the test fee, candidates must print an E-Sahulat token from the portal and get their CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat franchise/kiosk. Applications without this verification will not be processed.
  • Government Servants: Candidates currently working in Government or Semi-Government organizations must apply through the proper channel.
  • Multiple Applications: If you wish to apply for more than one post, you must submit separate online applications and pay separate test fees for each.
  • Test Information: Roll number slips will be available to download on the ETEA website. Candidates will be notified via SMS.Note: Candidates are strictly directed not to provide ported or converted mobile numbers.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the official ETEA website: www.etea.edu.pk.
  2. Create your profile, complete the NADRA E-Sahulat verification, and fill out the application form online.
  3. After submitting, print out the automatically generated online deposit slip (containing your token number, project code, and personal details).
  4. Deposit the non-refundable prescribed test fee via the EasyPaisa app/agent or at any branch of UBL Bank.
  5. Keep the original bank-stamped deposit slip safely with you. Do not mail any physical documents or certificates to the ETEA office at this stage.
