NADRA Careers 2026 – Hiring Assistant Director (Network Engineer) in Islamabad
The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), functioning under the Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control, Government of Pakistan, is seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals. Applications are open for the position of Assistant Director (Network Engineer – Routing & Switching) based at the NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad.
The selected candidate will be hired on a contract basis, starting with a 6-month probation period that may be extended based on performance needs.
Job Profile & Requirements
- Position: Assistant Director (Network Engineer – Routing & Switching)
- Maximum Age Limit: 37 years (A 5-year general age relaxation is already built into this maximum age limit).
- Job Location: Islamabad
- Educational Background: A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecom Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification in a related field. All degrees must be attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience specifically in Communications & Networks. Candidates possessing CCNA or CCNP certifications will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Operate, manage, and deploy Core Network Switches and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Demonstrate strong understanding of policies and routes on firewalls/switches, security policies (including Web/DNS filtering), IDS/IPS, geofencing, and email spam tagging.
- Manage IPsec VPNs and understand network elements across Layer-2 and Layer-3 switches.
- Troubleshoot diverse brand-based network devices including Cisco, Juniper, H3C, and Fortigate.
