An emerging public sector institution of Higher Education, operating independently under a Trust, has announced high-profile leadership opportunities to drive its next phase of development and growth. The organization is looking for experienced professionals with a proven track record in strategy, project management, human resources, governance, and organizational development.

Vacant Positions and Eligibility Criteria

The institution is recruiting for two major executive roles:

1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Age Limit: Minimum 50 – Maximum 60 years
  • Educational Qualification & Experience:
    • Must possess a Master’s degree or higher from a recognized and reputable university, or equivalent professional distinction.
    • At least 20 years of progressive professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior executive or leadership role within academia, public administration, the corporate sector, the non-profit domain, or international development.
    • A strong, demonstrated record of institutional leadership, with capabilities in strategic planning, financial management, organizational development, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experience in establishing, leading, or transforming large and complex organizations—particularly in education, research, or public service—is considered a distinct advantage.

2. Trust Secretary

  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Age Limit: Minimum 35 years
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution; OR
    • Be a Law graduate; OR
    • Member of a recognized body of professional accountants (e.g., ICAP, ACCA, etc.); OR
    • Member of a recognized body of corporate or chartered secretaries (e.g., ICSP, ICSA).
  • Experience & General Requirements:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a similar trust, company, or registered entity.
    • Full compliance with the “fit and proper” criteria provided in the Trust deed.
