Quaid-i-Azam University Jobs 2026: New Career Opportunities in CPJRC Project

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, has officially announced multiple contract-based vacancies under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) project of the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan. The positions are for the project titled “Establishment of China-Pakistan Joint Research Centre (CPJRC) on Earth Sciences,” currently being executed and administered by QAU.

Applications are invited from eligible Pakistani nationals who possess the required qualifications and experience.

Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment covers various categories, ranging from professional engineering roles to administrative and support staff. Below are the details of the vacant positions:

1. Director Civil Works (PPS-9)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 306,250 – 15,315
• Qualification & Experience: BSc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience as an Engineer, out of which 5 years must be as an Executive Engineer or equivalent. Only candidates with experience in building construction need to apply.
• Age Limit: Up to 55 years

2. Accountant / Accounts Officer (PPS-7)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 157,500 – 7,875
• Qualification & Experience: M.Com / MBA (Finance and Accounting) with 2 years of experience, OR B.Com/BBA (Finance and Accounting) with 10 years of experience in Audit and Accounts in a responsible position within a Government or Education department.
• Age Limit: Up to 45 years

3. Computer Operator (PPS-6)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 105,000 – 5,250
• Qualification & Experience: 2nd Class or Grade “C” Master’s / Bachelor’s (4 years duration) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a HEC-recognized university.
• Age Limit: Up to 28 years

4. Quantity Surveyor (PPS-6)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 105,000 – 5,250
• Qualification & Experience: At least Second-Class B-Tech (Honors) four-year degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Age Limit: Up to 32 years

5. Sub Engineer (PPS-5)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 70,000 – 3,500
• Qualification & Experience: Diploma from a School of Engineering / Polytechnic with two years of experience as an Overseer.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years

6. Assistant (PPS-5)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Pay Scale: Rs. 70,000 – 3,500
• Qualification & Experience: Graduate with 2 years of experience as an Upper Division Clerk (UDC), OR Intermediate with 3 years of experience, OR Matriculate with at least 5 years of experience as a UDC in a university, Government, or semi-Government organization.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years

7. Attendant / Office Attendant (PPS-1)

• No. of Posts: 02
• Pay Scale: Rs. 28,000 – 1,400
• Qualification: Literate
• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

Important Terms and Conditions

• Nature of Appointment: The appointments are purely project-based and initially for a period of one year. Subject to satisfactory performance and annual reviews, they may be continued until the completion of the project. These positions do not confer any right to regularization or permanent appointment.
• Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee must be submitted via Pay Order/Bank Draft (any bank) or through a Bank Challan from the HBL Quaid-i-Azam University Branch:
  • Serial No. 01 to 02: Rs. 2,000/-
  • Serial No. 03 to 06: Rs. 1,000/-
  • Serial No. 07: Rs. 500/-
• Government Servants: Applicants already serving in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel, supported by a service certificate and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
• Previous Applicants: Candidates who already applied for these positions in response to the previous advertisement and meet the prescribed qualifications do not need to apply fresh; their earlier applications will automatically be considered.

2. Document Checklist: Attach 2 attested photographs, copies of experience certificates, educational testimonials, domicile, and CNIC.
3. Submission: Send the complete application package along with the original Pay Order/Bank Draft/Bank Challan to the office of the Additional Registrar, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
4. Deadline: Applications must reach the office on or before 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement during office hours.
