Career Opportunities at Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC)

The Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC), an organization mandated to provide crucial policy and technical support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) in Pakistan, has announced new leadership openings. PPMC plays a vital role in the integrated planning of Pakistan’s power sector, developing strategic plans, and monitoring the performance of power sector entities.

The company is currently seeking applications for two high-level positions: Team Lead (Planning) and Specialist (Planning). Both roles require a 3-month probation period before continuation based on company policy.

1. Team Lead (Planning) — 1 Position

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical Power, Mechatronics, Electronics, Energy Engineering, or Engineering Sciences from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum of 07 years of experience in reputable national or multinational organizations.
• Preferences: Masters degree, certifications in the relevant field, and hands-on experience with relevant simulation tools are highly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Experience in sensitivity analyses, scenario development, decision support, tariff design & modeling, incentive scheme design, generation planning, financial forecasting, and global/cross-sectoral power sector dialogues.

Remuneration & Age Limit

• Salary: Market-based, competitive remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience.
• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as of the closing date (no age relaxation permitted).

2. Specialist (Planning) — 1 Position

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical Power, Electrical Computers, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Energy Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum of 05 years of relevant experience in reputable national or multinational organizations.
• Preferences: Certifications in the relevant field and hands-on experience with relevant system planning tools.
• Core Competencies: Tariff design & modeling, sensitivity analyses, decision support for policymakers, design and evaluation of incentive schemes, and long-term resource assessments.

Remuneration & Age Limit

• Salary: Market-based, competitive remuneration package.
• Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as of the closing date (no age relaxation permitted).
