Government of Balochistan Announces Adhoc Teaching Positions in Gwadar for 2026
The Secondary Education Department, Government of Balochistan, has officially announced multiple vacancies for Secondary School Teachers (SST) on an adhoc basis. These positions are specifically open for eligible candidates holding a local or domicile certificate from the Gwadar district to teach science, mathematics, and English subjects in various government boys and girls middle, high, and higher secondary schools.
The recruitment will be strictly governed by the approved Adhoc Teaching Staff Recruitment Policy 2026.
Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria
A total of 142 positions are available across different subject specialties, all falling under the BPS-17 pay scale. Below is the breakdown of the vacant seats and the required educational qualifications:

Special Note on Mathematics: In case candidates with a BS/MSc in Science and Mathematics are unavailable in a particular Union Council (UC), candidates holding a BSc Degree in relevant subjects will also be taken into consideration.
Ranking and Merit Criteria (Weightage Formula)
The final merit list will be calculated out of a total of 100 marks based on the candidates’ prescribed academic qualifications, broken down as follows:
1. Basic Academic Weightage (Up to 100 Marks)
- Matriculation (SSC): 20 Marks
- Intermediate (HSSC): 20 Marks
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree (in relevant subject): 50 Marks
2. Additional Marks for Higher Qualifications (Max 10 Marks)
Candidates with higher degrees will receive additional weightage points (Note: Total merit marks remain capped at 100):
- M.Phil / MS in relevant subject: 05 Marks
- OR PhD in relevant subject: 10 Marks
Passing Threshold: Candidates must secure an aggregate of at least 50% marks to be considered eligible for the final merit list.
Key Terms and Conditions
- Age Limit: The upper age limit for applicants is 55 years.
- Domicile Restriction: Only candidates who possess a Local/Domicile certificate of District Gwadar are eligible to apply.
- Job Nature: These appointments are purely temporary/adhoc. As per the 2026 policy, the duration of the adhoc appointment will be for a maximum of one year or may terminate even earlier. These positions are non-transferable.
- Quota Allocations: In accordance with government rules, a 5% quota is reserved for disabled persons and a 5% quota is reserved for minorities. Separate merit lists will be maintained for male and female candidates.
- Document Verification: Any fake, tampered, or unverified degrees (not recognized by the HEC) will result in immediate disqualification and legal action.

- Document Submission: Interested candidates must submit their application forms along with verified copies of educational certificates, degrees, CNIC, local/domicile certificate, and 4 passport-sized photographs to the office of the District Education Officer (DEO) Gwadar.
