Job Opportunity: ACIAR Project at University of Sargodha Seeks Female Skilled Worker
The College of Agriculture at the University of Sargodha has announced a temporary job opening for a female Skilled Worker under the internationally funded ACIAR Project HORT/2020/129.
The project, titled “Improving Small Land Holders’ Wellbeing through Participation in Modern Value Agriculture,” aims to enhance the livelihoods of small-scale farmers. Applications are invited for a single position on a daily wage (DPL) basis, primarily focused on data collection and compilation.
Eligibility and Requirements
Candidates must hold a BS or B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Agriculture, preferably with a major in Agricultural Extension or Social Sciences. While freshers can apply, 1-2 years of field experience in agriculture is preferred.
The role requires frequent travel to project villages and the ability to be stationed in Sargodha. Strong communication skills are essential, as the selected candidate will interact with farmers, rural women, market actors, and project teams from both Pakistan and Australia.
Terms and Duration
The position is purely temporary for 89 days, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project fund availability. The pay package follows the approved Skilled Worker daily wage rates set by the Government of Punjab.

The university has clarified that only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and no TA/DA will be provided. The position offers no right to regularization or permanent absorption. The project administration also reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any stage.
