Punjab Forensic Science Authority Announces Contract Post for Manager (Training)

The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA), operating under the Home Department of the Government of the Punjab, has officially invited applications from qualified candidates holding Punjab domicile for a contractual position.

According to an advertisement released by the authority, the sole vacancy is for the post of Manager (Training) on a special pay package. The position is open on an open merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying must meet stringent academic and professional requirements:

· Qualification: An M.Sc or B.Sc (Hons.) (with at least second division) or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
· Experience: A total of seven years of professional experience is required. This must include:
· Five years of experience as an analyst in a reputable forensic laboratory.
· Two years of experience in organizing and coordinating forensic trainings.
· Additional Requirement: Proven experience in managing or organizing ten national or international training sessions in different forensic fields.
· Age Limit: Candidates must be between 28 and 40 years of age. General age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of Punjab’s prevailing policies.

Terms of Employment

The position is being offered on a contract basis for three years, renewable under the Contract Appointment Policy 2004 of the Government of Punjab. The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 350,000, along with a 10% annual increase.

How to Apply

The PFSA has outlined a strict online application process:

  1. Online Submission: Interested applicants must apply online through the University of Punjab’s website. The deadline for submission is May 8, 2026. No offline applications will be accepted.
  2. Application Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,000 must be paid through Habib Bank Limited or UBL via a challan form automatically generated after successful online submission. Postal orders or bank drafts will not be accepted.
  3. Required Documents: Submission of all academic transcripts and degrees is compulsory. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidates with foreign degrees must submit an equivalence certificate from HEC Islamabad.
  4. Government Employees: Those currently in government service must apply through the proper channel.

Important Notes for Applicants

· Only short-listed candidates will be called for a test or interview.
· Candidates must produce original documents at the time of the interview.
· No TA/DA will be admissible for the test or interview.
· The competent authority reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the number of posts at any stage.
