Quaid-i-Azam University Announces Project-Based Vacancies at NIISS
The National Institute of Intelligence & Security Studies (NIISS) at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has announced multiple project-based job openings under a Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) project.
Published by the Office of the Director, NIISS, the advertisement invites applications from eligible candidates for both Project Management Unit (PMU) and Admin/Support staff positions.
Available Positions & Requirements
The recruitment drive seeks to fill four positions, ranging from engineering to support services:
· Assistant Executive Engineer (PPS-7): Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration and two years of relevant experience. The maximum age limit is 45 years.
· Accountant (PPS-5): Requires a BBA or MBA in Finance with two years of experience in a government or reputable organization. The age limit is 45 years.
· Computer Operator/WPO (PPS-4): Applicants need a Matriculation certificate with a typing speed of 30 words per minute and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The age limit is 45 years.
· Sanitary Worker (BPS-1): The role demands literacy and good physique, with prior experience as a sanitary worker or sweeper in government or a reputable firm. No age limit is specified.
Key Terms and Conditions
The university has outlined several important instructions for prospective applicants:
· Contract Basis: All positions are purely on a contract basis under the project’s specific pay scale.
· Initial Term: Appointments will be made initially for one year, with possible extensions based on performance and project continuity.
· Application Process: Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.
· Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. No TA/DA will be provided.
· Application Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,000 (via Pay Order) is required for posts S.No. 1 to 3, made in favor of the Director NIISS, QAU Islamabad.
· Submission Deadline: Applications, along with a CV, current photograph, attested documents, and the fee, must be submitted within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
· Right to Cancel: The competent authority reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without providing a reason.
