Government of Balochistan Jobs 2026: Directorate General of Culture Announces New Vacancies
The Directorate General of Culture, Government of Balochistan, Quetta, has officially announced multiple contract-based job openings for local and domiciled residents of Balochistan. This recruitment drive aims to fill various technical, creative, and support staff positions purely on a contract basis.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria
The advertisement lists 10 distinct categories of positions, divided by zone (Merit and Quetta) and required educational qualifications. All positions are located at the Directorate General of Culture, Balochistan Academy, Road Quetta.
1. Technical & Creative Positions (Merit Zone)
These positions are open on a merit basis across Balochistan and require specific technical qualifications:
- Graphic Designer (Contract) – 1 Post
- Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized board, along with a 1-year diploma in IT.
- Music Teacher (Contract) – 1 Post
- Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized board, along with a 1-year diploma or relevant experience in the music field.
- Video Cameraman (Contract) – 1 Post
- Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized board, along with a 1-year diploma or experience in video graphics and photography.
- Film Editor (Contract) – 1 Post
- Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized board, along with a 1-year diploma or experience in film editing.
2. Support & Class-IV Staff (Quetta Zone)
The following positions are allocated for the Quetta Zone. Literacy and relevant experience are highly preferred:
- Carpenter (Contract) – 1 Post: Preference will be given to literate individuals with experience in the relevant field.
- Chowkidar / Guard (Contract) – 1 Post: Preference given to literate individuals.
- Cook (Contract) – 3 Posts: Preference given to literate individuals with experience in the culinary field.
- Frash / Cleaner (Contract) – 3 Posts: Preference given to literate individuals.
- Mali / Gardener (Contract) – 3 Posts: Preference given to literate individuals.
- Sweeper (Contract) – 2 Posts: Preference given to literate individuals.
Terms and Conditions
Applicants must strictly adhere to the following rules outline by the department:
- Recruitment Policy: Recruitment will be conducted under the approved recruitment policy 2026 of the Government of Balochistan.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old. However, general upper age relaxations will be applicable according to government rules.
- Government Employees: Existing government servants must submit their applications through the proper channel (NOC required).
- Documentation: Applicants must attach two recent passport-sized photographs and attested copies of all educational certificates, diplomas, local/domicile certificates, and CNIC.
- Incomplete Applications: Applications lacking attested documents or received after the due date will be rejected.
- Test/Interview: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the criteria will be called for a test and interview by the selection committee. Original documents and CNIC must be presented at the time of the interview.
- TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for appearing in the test or interview.
- Authority Rights: The department reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel any of the advertised vacancies without assigning any reason.
