Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Leading Development Sector Organization in Pakistan


A prominent Development Sector organization in Pakistan is seeking a seasoned financial leader to join their senior management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This strategic role offers an opportunity to drive financial stewardship, ensure compliance, and contribute to impactful programs.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO will oversee Finance, Accounts, Treasury, and statutory compliance. Key duties include advising the Board on financial matters, maintaining internal controls, risk mitigation, and evaluating the impact of new programs and regulatory changes.

The role requires developing financial models, forecasting, and analyzing critical trends. The CFO will also review partner expenditures, participate in strategy formulation, and engage with donors alongside the CEO. Building strong relationships with senior executives and providing financial advice for business activities are essential.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

· Education: Professional qualification (CA/ACMA/ICAEW/ACCA) or Master’s in Finance.
· Membership: Must be a member of ICAP, ACCA, ICAMP, ICAEW, or equivalent.
· Experience: Minimum 15 years in Audit, Finance & Accounts, and Corporate Affairs, including 7–10 years in a senior management role. Experience in a national/international development sector organization is a strong advantage.
· Technical Skills: Strategic financial management, forecasting, treasury, corporate governance, taxation, and compliance for a Section 42 company. Experience with grant management accounting and ERP/SAP is preferred.
· Stakeholder Liaison: Proven experience working with regulators, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
· Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, collaborative management style, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
